Minimum Information about Plant Phenotyping Experiment

Other names: MIAPPE

MIAPPE is a reporting guideline for plant phenotyping experiments. It comprises a checklist, i.e., a list of attributes to describe an experiment so that it is understandable and replicable. It should be consulted by people recording and depositing plan phenotyping data. MIAPPE covers the description of the following aspects of plant phenotyping experiment: study, environment, experimental design, sample management, biosource, treatment and phenotype. A basic reference implementation of MIAPPE has been proposed for the ISA-Tab format. Other current developments include a Breeding API (BrAPI) implementation.
