Interaction Network Ontology

Other names: INO

The Interaction Network Ontology (INO) aims to standardize interaction network annotation, integrate various interaction network data, and support computer-assisted reasoning. It models general interactions (e.g., molecular interactions) and interaction networks (e.g., Bayesian network). INO is aligned with the Basic Formal Ontology (BFO) and imports terms from 10 other existing ontologies, and includes over 500 terms. In terms of interaction-related terms, INO imports and aligns PSI-MI and GO interaction terms and includes over 100 newly generated ontology terms.
