The Encyclopedia of Life (EOL) is a collaborative encyclopedia to describe all known living species. It identifies sources of biodiversity knowledge that are legally and practically shareable; integrates them with other sources and adds metadata; provides searching and other services; and collaborates with other projects to support data sharing.
